As Turkey's largest company generating energy from 100 percent renewable sources, we are proud to have received the Carbon Hero Award for the fifth time.
Our company received the Low Carbon Hero Award at the 9th Carbon Summit, organized by the Sustainable Production and Consumption Association (SÜT-D) with main support from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate and Istanbul Technical University (ITU).
Our company, previously honored with the Low Carbon Hero Award for initiatives like the Purple Wing applications in Yalova and Uşak wind power plants, the energy generation method at the LFG power plant, Akıncı Hydroelectric Power Plant, and the Uşak Hybrid SPP & Uşak WPP Capacity Increase projects, has won the award for the fifth time. This year, we were recognized for the emission reduction achieved by the Söke WPP Wind Capacity Increase Project.
The Söke WPP Wind Capacity Increase Project, initiated with the motto “More Wind, More Green Power,” will prevent 25,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. As Turkey's largest company generating energy from 100 percent renewable sources, we will continue to grow through our renewable energy investments and contribute to our country's sustainability journey.
